What do you really want to be doing?
In my experience, we all have something (even if it's buried under many reasons why we can't) that we wish we could be doing. Maybe it's writing a book, a career or a dream. Everyone has something that makes them feel alive and is their true calling and passion.
So many people who come to see me are in the process of mediating an internal fight between this calling and all the many reasons why they cannot do it now.
Something I've learned this year is that whilst you're procrastinating, someone else is getting starting and doing it!
There are, I'm sure, many other aspiring life coaches who would be better at this job than me; more qualified, better people skills, bigger network, more experience in a relevant field, I could go on... but I'm here, doing it and so therefore, I'm actually doing better than them. Whilst they're still dreaming, planning, waiting, debating and wondering, I've spent the last 12 months just going for it.
Don't let yourself be one of those people waiting whilst others are in the ring and getting dirty. Get in there too.
I don't think I'll ever be able to say it enough, you'll never feel ready and the time will never be right. Big, scary, life changing decisions will never come with that stamp of approval unfortunately but when you have a passion, it doesn't go away because you ignore it. The world needs people to be doing the things they're best at, it needs you to be doing what you're best at.
Start to let yourself connect with your desires, dreams and passions. Don't shut them down. Start to make a plan. You are the only one standing in between you and your dreams and you are the only one with the power to make a change.
